While really there is no such thing as a perfect latch, there are some very important features that help to identify that breastfeeding is going successfully for both you and your baby. No matter what your breastfeeding goal is, whether it's exclusively breastfeeding, pumping or combination feeding, we areavailable to offer support and guidance to help you to achieve your goal. While breastfeeding is considered one of the most natural things to do for new mothers and new babies alike, it still needs to be learned exactly the same way other natural skills such as walking and talking need to be learned. For some that can look like a very quick and easy process but for many it can be overwhelming, time-consuming and challenging. As International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) we are passionate about women having access to the right supports and knowledge to help them on their breastfeeding journey when they need them.

Many breastfeeding mothers will hit some bumps along their breastfeeding journey which is completely normal so rest assured you are not alone. Study after study, and woman after woman, have shown and said, the single most important factor to achieving a successful breastfeeding journey is support, support, support...... and a bit of specialist knowledge! It is so important to ensure you are receiving the right information to suit you and your baby as individuals. Unfortunately with breastfeeding there is not a one size fits all for mothers or babies, so often generic advice won't suffice. During a lactation consultation, we will seek your consent to carry out a detailed assessment of both yourself and your baby which will give us the information needed to develop an individualised care plan. Please don't hesitate to get in contact with us if you feel we can help to support you.

"Our daughter was born two weeks before full term and we had a hard time breastfeeding. As she could not latch properly, she would get agitated and refuse to feed. We were so desperate until we met Sarah. From day one, she was so committed to establishing effective breastfeeding. Sarah helped us learn the best latching techniques, made sure she was eating enough, helped us with a dozen other questions we had and gave so much advice. Without her encouragement and support, we are certain we would have gave up along the way. Even nowadays, she checks in to see how our baby is doing. She is truly a miracle worker, and we will be grateful forever for her time, coaching, commitment, endless knowledge and experience. We cannot thank her enough, and we would recommend her to any parents."

"I couldn't recommend Sarah's services enough. If it wasn't for Sarah, I would have given up breastfeeding a long time ago. I encountered many issues with breastfeeding from poor latching and sucking to blocked ducts and mastitis. Sarah helped me to overcome every breastfeeding issue that I had and she was always available to give me advice. Sarah is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things breastfeeding. Sarah gave me so many practical tips to make my breastfeeding journey easier. Sarah's caring nature and passion for helping people during their breastfeeding journeys is very evident. Sarah understood how important breastfeeding was to me and went above and beyond to ensure my breastfeeding journey was as smooth as possible. Thank you so much Sarah, my family and I will be forever grateful to you."
